Ethan is 13 years old and he is quick to clarify that he has two loves: dogs and politics. He loves to find and feed stray dogs and he also loves basketball and fishing. What makes Ethan different from your average teenager, though, is that he is also running to be governor of Vermont.
Ethan’s platform is practical progressivism. He wants to make sure the government takes care of the people that elect it. He already has a team of kids around his age assembled and they take their assignments seriously.
The things that worry Ethan are very different from the issues weighing on an average 13-year-old’s mind. His goal is to destroy the stigma that young means incompetent and inexperienced.
Ethan wants more kids to become engaged citizens. He is convinced that that’s where real change begins.
