Two brothers use choreographed movements and dance to express their experience figuring out masculinity, surviving racism, and understanding the meaning of brotherhood.

To them, blood is not an important factor in determining whether a person is your brother or not, it’s the ability to look out for each other that really counts. As they move their bodies, they retell their experiences in a way that words fail to express.

Living on a council estate in Hackney, London can stir up mixed feelings. There are times when it seems like a great place to be and times when one can hardly wait to get away. Hatred and rejection get randomly thrown at you and it’s difficult to not be affected by it.

Sometimes anger and violence are just coping mechanisms because the negativity becomes too much to handle.
